I Usually Blog About Happy Things
To my Facebook contacts: I know this is gonna show up on your News Feed, so if you’re getting bombarded with messages about this, I apologize, but this is quite necessary.
A horrible typhoon hit the Philippines last weekend. Ondoy (a.k.a. Ketsana) wrecked and submerged a lot of things, it killed a lot of people, and simply put caused huge, huge problems to many, many Filipinos. There are a lot of people who need all the help they can get.
To people who live in the Philippines, you can call 143 or 527.0000, or check out The PNRC site for details on how to donate. You may also donate to the Philippine Red Cross via G-cash or SMS. To donate via SMS, text RED<space>AMOUNT to 2899 (Globe) or 4483 (Smart). To donate via G-CASH, text DONATE<space>AMOUNT<space>4-digit M-PIN<space>REDCROSS to 2882. Better yet, if you’ve got extra time on your hands, volunteer at a PNRC center near you. There’s a lot of work to do and so many people to help out.
People who live outside the Philippines can make online or wire transfer donations via The Philippine National Red Cross. You can also donate via PayPal at TXTPower. All donations coursed through TXTPower will be sent to the Philippine National Red Cross.
Your help and your efforts would go a long, long way. Thank you so much. You all take care.

Hello Amy! Yes, my family and I are all okay. But I personally know people who were affected by this typhoon. Some of my friends are MISSING, so I’m doing everything I can to help.
Thank you so much, Amy. I really, really appreciate it.
