I attended my first cosplay convention as an exhibitor last Sunday. Because I was too busy helping prepare our merchandise, and I’m cheap, I went as a punk lolita. Not that anyone noticed, because I manned our booth the entire time. But anyways, it was still fun. The customers were cool (most of them, anyway), and damn, business was really good.

Expect to see me in more conventions. In costume. Must. Lose. Weight.

That’s how you’ve made me feel for exactly seventy months now.

I love you, Vernard.

Before anything, a shameless plug.

I’m gonna be joining an anime/comic/cosplay convention. I’ll be there as an exhibitor, but I imagine it would be fun to be in costume. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya isn’t mine nor is it in any way at all related to Pretty Oddity. Don’t sue us, kthxbai.

First off, although I didn’t advertise it here, I’d like to thank everyone who visited us last week at the Only You Bazaar. There weren’t a lot of people who came, so we really appreciate the few folks who did drop by and bought from us. We did a lot better than expected thanks to you guys.
We’ve re-opened Pretty Oddity’s Multiply site for Philippine-based customers (who seem to prefer to make online purchases there). And we’re really excited to finally, FINALLY get an Etsy Shop. Still in the process of listing items, but we’re working on it. Keep checking back!

James Iha, Bun E. Carlos, Adam Schlesinger, AND Taylor Hanson. In a band. Together.

I can’t believe I totally missed this!
I thought the idea of Smashing Pumpkins collaborating with Hanson seemed surreal. Then they add Cheap Trick and Fountains of Wayne to the mixture and leave me thinking, “what the hell.” But it actually does sound pretty good. Catchy and kickass at the same time. With Iha and Carlos in there, I was expecting the music to be a tad heavier, but anyways, it’s still cool.
90’s music back? Let’s hope so.
