- Music: The Ramones - I Wanna Be Sedated
After two years of doing absolutely nothing for the mop I have for hair, I finally got a haircut. Mom ordered me to get one, so it’s not like I could do anything about it, but I’m happy.

I’m too dorky to be a cute little schoolgirl. And that’s my sister’s arm behind me.
Anyways, it’s definitely better than the dead muppet I was sporting until yesterday. And the fiancé likes it. And to show that he wasn’t BSing, he FINALLY got a new webcam. I knew I missed the man, but I didn’t realize exactly how much until I saw him again. I has a big happy.
And I still craft. I revised my Japanese Christmas Cake pattern. The first one looks a bit like an attacked eyeball. This one looks a bit more convincing.

I am extremely late, but I’ve finally listened to Vienna Teng’s new album Inland Territory.

Good Lord, this woman has gems for songs. The musical arrangements have been made even richer, her vocals are as enchanting as ever, and her lyrics, perhaps even more than it did before, stir the soul. I’m actually still in *gasp* mode, so I am in absolutely no condition to critique and give a proper review without squealing like a rabid schoolgirl.
Vienna Teng, being the genius of analogies that she is, managed to make the lyrics of all the songs in this album appear somewhat war-themed but actually describe various battles of the heart. The songs depict the challenges of living life to the fullest, dealing with a broken family, finding your soulmate, and all sorts of battles that are not unheard of but not really pondered upon much by most. And they are all performed beautifully. Even if you don’t get the tasty little metaphors sandwiched between each verse, you’ll still enjoy the layers and layers of lush, indulgent sound. Tracks I recommend are The Last Snowfall, Antebellum, Kansas, Stray Italian Greyhound, No Gringo, and St. Stephen’s Cross. Playing Vienna Teng songs loudly is recommended.
I’m gonna enjoy this some more. With tea. Mmm.

Now I can practice drawing and painting again. God knows I need to. I feel pathetic for relying on a tablet and Photoshop to come up with decent artwork, but it seems Photoshop painting is currently my most profitable skill. I’m getting rusty at it, sadly, so I’ll need to fix that.
Not news, but I crocheted again. Sailor Mars FTW!

When I once called my flab a tumor, I wasn’t being serious. Now some idiots are actually suggesting chemotherapy to eliminate fat. What the hell, don’t these jerks realize that chemotherapy has horrible side effects? I, for one, won’t go through that crap for smooth curves that I can get (and keep) through diet and exercise. I’m still overweight, but it’s been working wonders for me. And look, it’s non-toxic!.
So screw it. I’ll enjoy my blueberry cheesecake. Here, have some.
