Welcome to the Jungle!

The Jungle

What, you didn’t think I was kidding when I called the new house a jungle, did you? This is just one room, though (the work room, to be exact). The rest of the rooms are nice and clean and baby safe. We are currently organizing our craft materials and our printers. Hopefully this room will have space for our feet by tonight.

As of now, we’re done gathering all our mercerized cotton crochet thread. Now that they’re all in one bin, I can brag about my stash!

Aaand, Monday’s entry for this week’s Mango challenge is Mango Cheesecake.

Inspiration was Bizu’s Mango Cheesecake.

Gonna go spelunking again. Be right back.

Running for the Hills

Mountains, actually. I’ll be in Laguna today, exploring the jungle that is our new house. Dunno when I’ll be back. Ooh. Exciting.

Anyway, this week’s Daily Treat Challenge theme is Mango. I’m done with Monday’s entry, but I currently don’t have time to take a photo as I’m packing for my little adventure. Let’s hope my laptop cooperates with the DSL service in Laguna. Speaking of which, my crocheted amigurumi pieces were sold in a bazaar yesterday. Sales was pretty good. The Daily Treat Challenge entries, in particular, sold out. I knew it already, but this is further proof that your ideas are awesome, so thanks so much.

Okay, folks. I’ll be right back.

Felt Good

Awesome packaging idea. This chocolate box is so freaking neat. It’s made of felt, it’s super pretty, and with it still being quite usable after you enjoy the chocolates inside it, it’s actually functional. You rarely ever get to see useful handmade stuff, much less useful handmade stuff this cute.

Siiick

I’m shivering in humid, tropical weather. I currently can’t muster enough strength to grip on a crochet hook, so no Daily Treat Challenge entry today. In other words, I fail today’s challenge. To people who asked, folks who fail challenges aren’t required to punish themselves. Actually, no, please don’t punish yourself. At least not in a way that would make you enjoy crafting less.

By the way, Ravelry is like crackkkkk. I’ve developed quite an addiction to it. It should be called Crackelry.

*cough*

Coffee Peddling Again, Huh?

Someone’s asking me to set up a coffee cart in Batangas. It’s really exciting, even though Batangas is famous for its Barako, which sadly isn’t in my blend. Anyways I’m still looking into it.

Speaking of which, I’m craving for a cup of Zoka. I don’t know their blend, but my word, is it superb. If I could get a franchise of Zoka and use their idiot-proof business model for my college thesis, I would have.

Zoka Coffee

In other news, I have a Daily Treat Challenge entry.

Thursday: French Fries

And here I thought fries would be so simple to make. It’s actually this week’s most complicated piece to create. But I’m happy with how it turned out.
